Before starting a career in Financial Services, Nik had been a specialist mechanical and electrical engineer. After "learning the ropes," Nik moved into Bank assurance, initially as an adviser, then moving into a financial services training role. Seeing that there was a shortfall in specialist mortgage advisers, Nik was asked to work in London, then in Cambridge in the newly created role as a specialist IFA mortgage adviser.
